Add page numbers, headers and footers
Page numbers, headers and footers
Put "Page 3 of 12", a document's title, a reference or a date along the top or the bottom of each page: left, centre or right, in one of the standard faces, at the size you choose. Number every page or only the ones you name, starting from any number.
Never over the words
Before anything is added, each page is looked at where the line would go. If something is already there — a word, a rule, a form field — the page is named and nothing is made, because a number drawn over a word hides it. Move the line, make it smaller, or leave that page out.
Add page numbers now — it opens the tool, with nothing to install.
The record
The new file says what was added to it, on which pages and where, in the record it carries and in your account's trail. The file you started from stays as it was. Files are deleted after 90 days, or whenever you erase them.
